SAMA-nominees Michael Lowman and Howie Combrink are embarking on acoustic tour as they hit the Eastern Cape over Easter weekend and make their way up the coast, via Hermanus, to Cape Town for a couple of intimate Acoustic Shows this April.
Two of the top Acoustic performers in SA music now, Michael Lowman and Howie Combrink will kick off their tour at LEGENDS SHOWCASE in East London on Saturday, 4 April, followed by THE MUSIC KITCHEN in Port Elizabeth on Sunday, 5 April for a 2pm afternoon show. Thereafter they head up the coast to GECKO BAR in Hermanus on Sunday 12 April and a couple of Solo shows in Cape Town the week of 14 April.
Michael Lowman was nominated in 2014 for a SAMA for “Best Adult Contemporary Album” for his debut album ‘Crayon Boxes’ and Howie Combrink has just been nominated for two SAMA’s in 2015 for his debut album, ‘Eat It While It’s Hot’ for “Best Newcomer Of The Year” and “Best Adult Contemporary Album”!

Michael Lowman exploded onto the South African music scene in 2013. He has played nearly every major festival and venue in the country and has had numerous hit singles. He has been nominated for a number of awards, including a SAMA (South African Music Award), an MK Award and an MTV Music Award.
Michael released his debut album, Crayon Boxes, in September of 2013 and the response has been unforgettable. Not only has he since performed for and supported international stars like Tori Amos and UB40, but he has also shared the stage with African Mega Stars Mafikizolo, when he was asked to open up the 2014 MTV African Music Awards ceremony. There is no denying that Lowman is one of South Africa’s most prized musical talents. It’s only a matter of time before the world starts making their claim.
“For me, these shows are about finding my feet within this transitional phase I’m in, musically. It’s about me figuring it all out again. I’m excited!” comments an ecstatic Lowman.

Receiving Two SAMA nods in March 2015, Howie Combrink has been trying to find the words to explain what it means to be regarded as one of the Top 5 New Artists in SA Music in the past year, and it’s harder than Combrink thought it would be.

I’m a huge fan of all the artists that are nominated in both my categories, so to be on that list amongst the likes of Jeremy Loops, Beatenberg and many more, is such an honour. The SAMA nominations also follow a week after the release of the music video for Combrink’s current hit single “Change” taken from his debut “Eat It While It’s Hot”!
