Everyone remembers iconic and popular relationships of the past and present like: Britney and Justin, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp, Heidi Klum and Seal, Beyoncé and Jay Z or Will and Jada. But does anyone remember the hook-ups and relationships that came before? What about the flings and relationships some celebs would rather have left in the past?
Well, we did some digging, and uncovered some interesting info on celebs who you never knew dated (even we were surprised – and LOL’d – at some of them!):
Britney Spears and Colin Farell
The two denied the dating rumours back in 2003 when they made a red carpet appearance together for the première of Colin’s film The Recruit. We’ll file this one under hook-ups then, yes?
Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock
Ryan started dating Sandra Bullock after meeting on the set of ‘Murder By Numbers’ back in 2001. The couple lasted from 2002-2003. He was 21 at the time and Sandra was 37. Can we just add that Sandra is looking as good as she did back then?
Justin Timberlake And Fergie
Back in 1996, long before he dated Brit and long before he was known as JT and when this rocker chick was simply known as Stacey Ferguson, the two dated. He was 16 and she was 23.
Cher and Tom Cruise
Yeah, this one had us puzzled, too. Back in the 80s, as Tom was just starting out in the industry, the two dated. Cher said in an interview back in 2008: “I was crazy about him [and] it was before he was a scientologist.” Apparently Tom made it to Cher’s top 5 best lovers. Okay then.
Kim K and Nick Lachey
Back in 2006, after his very public split from singer Jessica Simpson, Nick and Kim briefly dated – and by briefly we mean a week. In a 2013 interview, Nick hinted that Kim used him to get famous by calling the paps. “Let’s just say this: we went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside,” he explained. Ouch.
Beyonce and Sisqo
We would be lying if we said this one didn’t give us the giggle fits of all giggle fits. Back in 2000 the Thong Song hitmaker and the then-Destiny’s Child star made their red carpet debut in colour co-ordinating outfits at the MTV Awards. Sorry, we’re still LOLing.
Channing Tatum and Amanda Bynes
The two were co-stars in 2006’s She’s The Man and were spotted kissing a couple of times after filming. After the relationship, Channing met his now-wife Jenna Dewing and – as they say – the rest is history!
Jessica Biel and Chris Evans
The two began dating back in 2001 when they were co-stars and played the roles of girlfriend and boyfriend in both Cellular and London. The relationship ended in 2006.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Naomi Campbell
Yup. Leo has always been – and looks like he will always be – a modelliser. Back in 1995 Leo and supermodel Naomi had a brief fling.
Kim k and Nick Cannon
The two dated in 2006-2007 and lasted only four months (longer than her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries). The two went back and forth about who broke up with whom, but it doesn’t really matter because it seems Kim is having the last laugh – Nick recently posted a throwback pic of him and Kim. Sorry Nick, she’s a married woman now.
Will Smith and Tyra Banks
Okay, this one got us all kinds of excited. We love Will and we love Tyra, they’re both super effervescent and want to make people laugh! Back in 1993 the pair seemed like a dream power couple, he was the Fresh(est) Prince of Bel Air and she was one of the biggest models of her generation, following in the footsteps of Naomi. The relationship didn’t last long though, and ended in 1994 with rumours of the relationship being a PR stunt.
Tupac and Madonna
This just had us a little WTF but also kind of captivated. Earlier in the year Madonna revealed that she dated the rapper a year before he sadly passed away. The pair met each other for the first time in March 1993 at the Soul Train Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Ashley Olsen and Lance Armstrong
Ashley who is 15 years Lance’s junior dated briefly back in 2007 but Lance was allegedly pushed to end the relationship as it could damage his career and his “cancer work”.
