We live in a digital age, so online dating, social media and basic communication is nothing new to anyone yielding a smart phone, tablet or laptop. Yet certain apps are still able to surprise us, and this time it was the new friend app, Ameego, that raised our eyebrows.
Ameego is a place for you to make friends by browsing your city’s socially verified Ameego listings and request to “rent out” and hang with the local of your choice. Though there is the debate on whether paying for friendship is the best route, it still means your temporary boredom will be cured with some company.
The founder, 25-year-old Clay Kohut, is known as the “unicorn” in the start-up community, and has already created 6 other games/apps for the iPhone.
