Last week, Instagram announced that it will be tweaking the way people “like” videos: it will now start counting views as likes, just like Facebook.
Still confused? Okay, let’s break it down. One “view” counts as one “like” after viewing it for three seconds. So your video is no longer about who “likes” it, but who’s watched it. In the next couple of weeks you’ll be able to see view counts underneath videos where before you’d normally see likes, and you’ll be able to see likes by tapping “views”, Instagram explained.

While this is mostly a marketing strategy, we’re also thinking this will affect your stalking habits – so no more stalking your exes, ladies!
