Known for her love of cooking, unbelievable style and fashionable friends, Top Billing TV Presenter and celebrated foodie, Lorna Maseko brought the kitchen down this past weekend when she hosted her ever popular ‘Cooking with Lorna and Friends” at the Cradle of Humankind in Maropeng. It was certainly an Easter family affair as guests came together to share in the occasion with delectable holiday treats and sensational entertainment.
This time around, and in celebration of the holidays which is fast approaching, the whole family was invited to attend, including children. A picnic was the order of the day and kids even had their own ‘Build a burger’ station where they were able to create their own foodie masterpieces. Let’s not forget the exceptional wine-tasting experience as well as a variety of food stalls offering different cuisines and dishes. The adventure didn’t stop there as everyone was invited to take a special tour through the Maropeng Caves.
The floor was open to guests who wanted to participate in Lorna’s famous cooking experience. They became celebrity chefs in their own right as they got to replicate one of Lorna’s delectable recipes – stuffed chicken roulade with a honey lime sauce, pomegranates and shimeji mushrooms. The event ended with a cherry on top as guests got to enjoy comedian Toll A$$ Mo and Metro FM DJ Lerato Kganyago take the stage.
