According to The Juice SA, a source has revealed that Mariah Carey is already living up to her infamous diva status. Her demand of choice this time? That Table Mountain’s lights be switched on and shine purple during her CT performance, which kicks off tonight.
Another source revealed that Mariah wants the lights to be a tribute to singer Prince who unexpectedly died last week.
According to a report by The Mercury Table Mountain’s floodlights can be turned on in cases where the cause is of “particular cultural, historical or traditional significance for the people of Cape Town or South Africa”. (The Juice)
Mariah arrived in Cape Town yesterday ahead of the South African leg of her tour, and has further demanded having coconut water from a specific region – which was not included on her rider (her list of demands) before she arrived.
