Sunday is one of our favourite days of the year. Not only is it South Africa’s annual celebration of youth, but because it falls on a Sunday everybody gets a long weekend. Yay! We’ve rounded up the best places to celebrate this special day – so if you didn’t have any plans, now you do!

5FM is taking over Zone 10 at Sedibeng, Soweto, and encouraging volunteers to participate in the “battle of the DJ” Sayiwasha Car and Bike Wash. Five teams of 10 plus a 5FM DJ will square up to raise money for education via Youngblood 5. Team leaders are: 5FM’s Hip Hop queen, Ms Cosmo, Stephanie B, Sureshnie Rider, Fix, Justin Toerien and Rob Forbes. There’ll also be live broadcasts of Krazyboy Weekends with KB and Euphonik’s My House. DJ’s spinning the decks will include a guest appearance by ClassyMenace, Ms Cosmo, DJ Milkshake, the good Doctor, Roger Goode and DJ Fresh.
