Kylie Jenner’s lips may have been the talk of the town, but her now bodacious curves are causing quite an arch.

Over the weekend, the 17-year-old reality star revealed curves are not attributed to her family’s famous shapely genes, but rather a cream: PureLeef’s body plumping creams to be exact.

“I love sharing my beauty secrets with you guys and this is a favorite!” Jenner wrote. “I started seeing results after only a month of
consistent use. Love their products. #curvesonfleek.” She captioned the pic.

The real commotion about this cream after Kylie’s IG pic surfaced because it turns out that Kylie was advertising this product unendorsed aka without any monetary motives. In what world would Kris Jenner allow such a thing? Leaving us pondering about if the product that sounds too good to be true, could actually be that good?

We did a little bit of research and found that PureLeef (which sells for around R600 a bottle) considers itself a “modern day miracle” and a worthy, “all natural” cost-effective alternative to plastic surgery which revitalizes the body’s own fat generation to enhance the appearance of curves.

However, dermatologist Rachel Nazarian, M.D., at Schweiger Dermatology Group, isn’t buying it: “While these creams do contain active ingredients linked to stimulating fat cells, as well as act as antioxidants that are anti-inflammatory, it may offer some temporary improvement of cellulite, but nothing dramatic,” explains Nazarian.

“Often these studies are done in labs, not on humans—and just because something works in the lab on cells, doesn’t mean it’ll have the same result when applied topically. To promise fat plumping when applied topically, especially after only a month, seems unlikely.”

Hmmm, are you seeing the dilemma we’re facing? Professional opinion versus Kardashian endorsement minus any money from it (virtually unheard of)? Ok, we’re going to go with our gut and go with the professional opinion and add that to the fact that the Kardashian’s have a very, VERY good plastic surgeon.

CONCLUSION: sorry Kylizzle, we’re not buying it.
