The BBMAs is a big night for obvious reasons, but the awards show has also become somewhat of a platform for announcements (we’re looking at you, H&M x Balmain collection) and a way to honour musicians for their “outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry” with the Millennium Award. This year, the winner of this prestigious award was Britney Spears. Brit is the third artist to receive the statue, joining the likes of Beyoncé (2011) and Whitney Houston (2012). #Winning.
The Princess of Pop was the first live act of the evening, performing a five-minute medley of her greatest hits in a red and sequinned number by wedding dress designer Mark Zunino.
