Today sees the official release of a brand new music video from AL BAIRRE for their latest single entitled, BUNGALOW.

The lyrics to the song were written by Nic after a girl took him to a bungalow one night. He also recently moved to a beach location full of bungalows, so the title seemed fitting as a recurrent theme in his life.

The inspiration behind the song was the fact that all people grow up and things become serious at some point in life. Nic describes his encouragement to write the song as bit of a depression concerning his relationships and thoughts on existentialism, and this song was a kind of ‘Wake up you selfish loser, life is pretty alright in the here and now!‘ to himself.

Bungalow also features the signature Al Bairre elements of high energy and the beautiful voices of the twins in the bridge.

The video was shot by Deon van Zyl and directed by Daniel Morcos. The band met up with  Daniel, who took the track home with him, and came up with the concept a few days later.

“Naturally we said yes. Nicholas loves doing hand stands, Kyle loves dancers and The Twins love abs and ripped triceps.”

The video was shot over the course of two days in a gymnasium in Khayelitsha outside Cape Town. Present for the shoot were also a professional stunt team, a pack of body builders and various dancers, all who contributed to the scenes in the video.

“The song is very sassy and for that reason we had to make a video that equaled the level of sass. That’s why Kyle never smiles and we have martial arts stunt men doing flips. Nothing is sassier.”

Fans can look forward to bodybuilders, fight scenes, gymnastics and outrageous hairdos – a song everyone can relate to and a video everyone can enjoy.

Kate Middleton, the beloved Dutchess of Cambridge, made an appearance in Margate in Kent today, visiting the town’s Turner Contemporary gallery.

The Duchess is having an art-filled day with her first stop being the Turner Contemporary museum where she checked out the Self: Image and Identity exhibition.

The queen of Duchess de ja vu, Kate flaunted her flawless maternity style as she donned her Dalmation print coat by Hobbs, one of her favourite High Street brands, which she last wore back in 2013 right before giving birth to Prince George. Is this Kate’s way of telling us, it’s almost time? We sure hope so!

The Duchess is continuing a busy week of engagements, and her visit in Margate today comes two days after she joined husband Prince William, the Quee, Prince Phillip and the Duchess of Cornwall at Westminster Abbey in Commonwealth Day.

COFFITIVITY: EVERYONE’S (CREATIVE) CUP OF COFFEE

Things can get a little noisy here at Grazia H.Q. and we gals sometimes just needs a good ol’ time-out to refocus and gather our thoughts so that we get those creative juices flowing again. Naturally we like to sit with a steaming cuppa coffee to let our ideas perculate, but recently we stumbled across something so phenomenal that we could not help but share with you.

Our recent phenomenal find? Coffitivity! Coffitivity is a website that brings the vibe and ambient sounds of a coffee shop right to your desktop to boost creativity and help you work better.

The research on their website states thatm “According to a peer-reviewed study out of the University of Chicago, “A moderate level of ambient noise is conducive to creative cognition.” In a nutshell, this means being a tiny bit distracted helps you be more creative.

This is why those AHA moments happen when we’re brushing our teeth, taking a shower, or mowing the lawn! If we’re not focused too much at a task at hand, we come up with awesome stuff. In the coffee shop, the chatter and clatter actually distracts us a tiny bit and allows our creative juices to start flowing. It sounds crazy, but it works!

And work, it does! Personally, we love the ‘morning murmer’ sound track in particular.

Kim and Kayne take Paris Paris fashion week. This past week saw the KUWTK stepping out with a new platinum blonde ‘do and then followed this major colour transition with some serious (and questionable) designer outfits for the various shows.

The real star of the week, though, is adorable North West, obvs. The star instagrammed a coupl eof snaps of the charming tot in bed reading stories as well as one of the one-year-old in, what appears to be, an adorable monkey spirithood.

Just when we thought North couldn’t get any cuter, North stepped out with mom, Kim, decked out in all-black-everything (naturally) in Paris and flashed the cutest and biggest smile for the paps. All together now…aww! (also, the girl knows how to rock Dr. Martens!)

South Africa is a vibrant and energetic country and we love celebrating our multi-cultural heritage whenever and wherever we can. With an ‘Elemental’ theme (celebrating Fire, Water, Air and Earth – the unstoppable forces that shape us and our environment), Cape Town Carnival is all about celebrating our unique African identity and diverse cultures through a colourful parade of performers and floats. This event is one to be marked on all calendars!

The sixth annual Cape Town Carnival is set to dazzle the Green Point Fan Walk on Saturday, 14 March 2015. Entrance is free, so you have NO EXCUSE not to be there!

You will have the freedom of the city streets from 16h00 as you join family and friends on the much-loved Green Point Fan Walk to enjoy the variety of food, crafts and special kids’ activities on offer.  The streets will be closed for final preparations at 18h00, giving Carnival-goers enough time to find the perfect viewing spot or make their way to one of the many restaurants along the Fan Walk before the magic begins at 19h00.

And then the magic really begins! An explosion of fireworks at 19h00 marks the start of the electrifying parade.  Over 2000 dazzling costumed performers and musicians will take to Cape Town’s Fan Walk, entertaining viewers with magical floats and vibrant dance routines.

After the party, it’s the after-party! The parade will be followed by a thumping  Cape Town Carnival After Party showcasing some of SA’s hottest musical talent

We do love a good ol’ Irish celebration. With St Paddy’s Day coming up this weekend, we’re going green and Gaelic with Irish legend Finbar Furey, Prime Circle, the Soweto Gospel choir and more this Saturday at Montecasino.

Thanks to Virgin mobile SA and Montecasino who will be throwing a sham-rocking festival in honour of our favourite Irish holiday, we know that this St. Patrick’s day is going to be a truly authentic experience. Add friends, family, a delicious feast and some dancing into the mix and you have got yourself a party you can’t afford to miss!

We must admith though, we are particularly looking forward to seeing Irish legend, Finbar Furey perform. His gutsy and emotional Celtic folk music has entertained audiences for over 40 years-we still fondly remember Finbar and his brothers, or The Fureys as they were known, topping the local SA charts way back when in 1981 with their single, Sweet Sixteen.

And now, we get to see him perform live this Saturday at Monte casino-it doesn’t get any more Irish than this!

Justin Bieber, who had personally requested  a roasting, was not let off lightly by his comedian mates who jumped at the opportunity to make fun of the 21-year-old singer at his Comedy Central Roast in Culver City, Los Angeles on Saturday, 14 March 2015

Kevin Hart, who was dressed in blue robes for the start of the roast, led the way as Roast Master and was accompanied by fellow roasters including comedians and fellow stars: Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Shaquille O’Neal, Natasha Leggero, Hannibal Buress, Chris D’Elia, Jeff Ross, and Pete Davidson and even Martha Stewart took a swing.

Will Ferrell, dressed as Ron Burgendy from Anchorman, made a surprise appearance and took a crack at roasting the One less lonely girl hitmaker

The Biebs, who looked dapper in a fitted blue suit, crisp white shirt, Lanvin satin tie, pink striped socks and Saint Laurent shoes with his blonde locks slicked back, provided us with many facial expressions and laughed in good humour at the jokes being made at his expense, even sticking his tongue out at some points, but also appearing defeated at some times during the roast

Naturally, there were familiar celebrity faces in the audience including model, friend and rumoured girlfriend Kendall Jenner and sister Kourtney who was taking a night off from the kids (and looking all kinds of fabulous, might we add, go Kourt!), Jaden Smith,Ashley Benson John Legend and wife Chrissy Tiegen, as well as the Biebs’ mentee, Carly Rae Jepson.

Some of the brutal jokes from the Biebs’ roast include:

“Tonight we’re going to give what his parents and the legal system should have done years ago,” host Kevin Hart said. “We’re going to give this boy an ass-whoopin.’”

“Selena Gomez wanted to be here, but she’s dating men now,” comedian Jeff Ross joked.

“Justin, as a father of six you have to straighten up, son,” Shaq said. “Last year, you were ranked the fifth most-hated person of all time. Kim Jong-Un didn’t rank that low. And he uses your music to torture people.”

Bieber laughed off most of the jokes, and at the end of the night got his own back when he remarked, “What do you get when you give a teenager $200 million?” Bieber asked. “A bunch of has-beens calling you a lesbian for two hours.”

Justin then took a more serious tone apologising for his recent bad behaviour and commented on changing his ways

“There was really no preparing me for this life. I was thrown into this at 12 years old,” he said.

“I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. There were moments I am proud of. And there are moments I am disappointed with myself for. But the things I have done don’t define who I am. I am kind-hearted person who loves people. And through it all, I have lost some of my best qualities. For that, I’m sorry.”

“I am looking forward to being someone you can all be proud of,” he said. “Someone close to me once said, ‘It’s how you rise from a fall that truly defines you as a man.’ I’m excited for that challenge. And I want to say thank you for taking this journey with me.”

It’s official! Riri is finally a Dior girl!

In an interview with MTV, the singer explained that being “acknowledged by Dior means a lot, as a woman”. “It feels fantastic,” she explained. “It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any color. I think to be acknowledged by Dior means a lot, as a woman, to feel beautiful — to feel elegant and timeless.”

What can we expect from this milestone moment?

The Grammy Award winner is reported to star in an episode of Dior’s “Secret Garden” video series, dressed in a Dior gown (naturally) and shot by Steven Klein in the palace of Versailles. Steven Klein will also be shooting the campaign photoshoot.

Attention! Halt!

June 2015 marks the date that Prince Harry will officially be off active duty. Our favourite royal (besides Prince George that is) has confirmed that he will be  ending a 10-year military career after he takes a 4-week secondment to the Australian Defence Force, starting in April.

In a statement released by Kensington Palace, the prince said he was at a “crossroads” and that quitting the army had been a “really tough decision” for him.

Of his experience the prince explained, “I consider myself incredibly lucky to have had the chance to do some very challenging jobs and have met many fantastic people in the process.

“From learning the hard way to stay onside with my Colour Sergeant at Sandhurst, to the incredible people I served with during two tours in Afghanistan, the experiences I have had over the last 10 years will stay with me for the rest of my life.

After his stint in Australia, he will undertake an official royal tour to New Zealand.

When he leaves the Army in June, he will do voluntary work with a conservation project in Africa and with disabled veterans back in the UK.

Looks like Prince George is going to be a big brother sooner rather than later.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited Brookhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich today, where she visited an on-site nursery among other duties. Whilst talking to the volunteers, Kate broke the news to a volunteer saying she is due “mid-to-end of April” after being asked when she is due by Christie Osborne, one of the volunteers.

We have a date, ladies and gents! Now all we need to know is whether Prince George will have a younger brother or sister!

On a more fashion related note, the Duchess of Cambridge, 33, stunned in a polka dot ASOS maternity dress (which no doubt sold out within minutes) with black shoes.

Sigh we’re absolutely dotty about this royal’s style; we love how Kate goes from McQueen on one day and ASOS the next.

OK, we’re not certain if it’s official but Taylor Swift’s not doing much to squash the rumours that she’s dating Calvin Harris. She was recently spotted at a show of his and judging by the image below, she only had eyes for him!

We are all for this union at GRAZIA, how could this not work? They’re both blonde, tall, skinny and share a love music. Sounds like a match made in celebrity heaven, we’ll be watching these two closely and hoping they just let the world know it’s on already!

Last night, Kendall Jenner was said to be the first in the Kardashian klan to speak out on and confirm dad, Bruce Jenner’s, gender reassignment.

In an interview with US weekly, Jenner was reported as saying, “I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters. He’s a wonderful man, and just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him any less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether hes a man or a woman”

Immediately after Us Weekly printed their alleged interview with the 19-year-old model, Kendall took to twitter denying what she was rumoured to have said, posting the following:

One Direction star, Zayn Malik, 22,  was photographed holding hands with pretty blonde, Lauren Rich, during a night out at Seduction Club (ironic much?) in Phuket, Thailand. In another snap the boy band heartthrob has his arm around the young woman as well as his hand on her stomach in another shot.

Zayne, who is engaged to Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, 21, immediately took to twitter after the pictures emerged to declare his love for his wife-to-be. ‘I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous f**ks in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like x.’

We’re unsure how Zayne explains the fact he was holding hands with Lauren though? Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Zayne has been rumoured to have a wandering eye (and hands?). In 2013, before the engagement, it was claimed that the 22-year-old singer cheated with stripper, Courtney Webb, after a night of partying together.There was also the fact that she shared pictures of Zayne fast asleep with his shirt off. Courtney later claimed that she didn’t know he was famous.

Although Perrie hasn’t yet commented on the scandal, she did Instagram a pic and seemed to be making an effort to cover her ring finger with a giant black jumper. Adding fuel to the fire, the pair haven’t been photographed together in over two months; the last time was in an a pic she posted to Instagram.

We can’t be certain, one thing we know for sure is that where there’s smoke there’s fire…and that always seems to go in one direction…

Kim K’s one-year-old lived out every kid’s (and to be honest, ours too!) dream when she clutched on to her Frozen roller bag and allowed an unnamed bodyguard to pull the bag, rolling her through the airport.

The toddler was decked out in her classis Yeezes jacket and black booties, as she clung onto her bag with her feet dragging on the floor. After a two-week stunt at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, we don’t blame the girl for taking it easy.

The One Direction band member pulled out of a commercial recording in Hong Kong yesterday in order to fly back to the UK to be with his family and fiancée Perrie Edwards.

The news comes after speculation that the 22-year-old Steal Your Girl singer cheated on Perrie, 21, with a girl, Lauren, at a nightclub in Thailand.

“Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta,” A spokesperson for the band said.

A source close to the heart throb discloses that, “Zayn finds it tougher than the rest of his band-mates dealing with fame. Having his every movement scrutinised causes great anxiety and the pictures which surfaced with the fan yesterday was the final straw. He did nothing wrong but the amount of criticism he received was simply too much. He needs to get away.”

Leaving the tour to go back home means the singer will miss the band’s next three tour dates in Asia, but reportedly hopes to return for their gig in South Africa on March 28 (cross your fingers, ladies!)
