The creme-de-le-creme of the awards season finally took place, and we were not disappointed. As per usual, our favourite celebs kept us up-to-date of their behind-the-scenes preparations, red carpet struts and shenanigans before, during and after the awards show on Instragram.

Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore are some of the top actresses in Hollywood showing support for #AskHerMore. Reese showed her support via Facebook and Instagram on Sunday. The hashtag, created by the Representation project, is aimed at having reporters ask more “creative” questions for women,  asking something other than “Who are you wearing?”.

“There are so many amazing, talented nominees this year,” Witherspoon captioned the photo. “Let’s hear their stories!”

Cate Blanchett called out the discrepancy after getting the up-down at the SAG Awards. “Do you do that to the guys?” she asked.

There is a notable discrepancy in the questions being asked beyond dresses, accessories and the mani cam.  Jennifer Garner pointed it out at the Elle Women of Hollywood last year.  “We got home at night and we compared notes,” she said. “And I told him every single person who interviewed me, I mean every single one … asked me, ‘How do you balance work and family?’ And he said the only thing that people asked him repeatedly was about the tits on the ‘Blurred Lines’ girl (model Emily Ratajkowski, Ben’s ‘Gone Girl’ co-star).”

Shonda Rhimes and Lena Dunham also tweeted their support. “Ask her about the causes she supports,” wrote Dunham, “not her support garments.”

Patricia Arquette won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Boyhood. When the actress got on stage and started her speech, it all seemed fairly standard. The Oscar winner started her speech thanking her friends and family, her co-stars and director as well as various industry insiders. What came next, was two sentences that will go down as one of the greatest moments in Oscar history, as the actress used the platform to fight for equal pay for women:

“To every woman who gave birth, to every tax payer and citizen of this nation: We have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America!”

With Meryl Streep leading the pack of applause and a fist pump/finger point (oh, classis Meryl!) the rest of Hollywood’s leading ladies joined in on applauding Patricia on her speech:

Although Hollywood’s elite gathered together for the creme-de-le-creme of the awards season last night, glitz, glamour and red-carpet worthy dresses are no longer limited to the Hollywood elite.

Grazia’s Night at the Oscars took place at Ster Kinekor Cinema Nouveau in Rosebank Mall last night with SA’s hottest local celebs and our fabulous Grazia readers gracing our very own red carpet as we sipped on GM&Ahrens bubbly, had our taste buds tantalized by Vicky Crease catering, and got giddy from the fabulous Martini cocktails served by the entertaining Liquid Chefs barmen. Did we mention that we had our eyes glued to our favourite red carpet looks on our amazing Hisense HD big screen on the night?

The evening continued with the Oscar atmosphere as we handed out a few awards of gifts and vouchers from Colette Hayman, Nicci Boutiques, Silver Birch, Queenspark, 54 on Bath and ghd for various categories on the night, including:best dressed, best hair and best dressed couple.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and not a truer word was spoken (or sung?) when Christina Aguilera appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and did her best Britney impersonation.

Fallon encouraged the impersonation with a round of his Wheel of Musical Impressions game.“How it works is we’re gonna take turns hitting this button here, which activates the musical impressions generator,” the funnyman explained. “It will land on one random singer that one of us can do an impression of and then one random song title… Whoever’s turn it is has to do an impression of that musician doing that song.”

The second time round, Christina landed on her former pop-rival, Britney Spears. “Britney Spears? You know Britney Spears, right?” Fallon questioned. “Lil’ bit,” Aguilera responded with a smile. “Lil’ bit.”

The 34-year-old singer did an epic impersonation of her former Mickey Mouse Club costar as she sang ‘This little piggy’ to the tune of Britney’s first hit single “Hit me Baby”.

Ed Sheeran positively has us thinking out loud about (see what we did there? )how much we love him and that romantically smooth voice of his. With his dreamy lyrics, it came as a pleasant surprise when he got ‘a little bit naughty’ covering Christina Aguilera’s 2002 hit ‘Dirrrty’ on BBC radio yesterday.

A Spice Girls reunion-it’s what our 90′s dreams are made of! Well, almost. Emma Bunton aka Baby Spice and Melanie Chisholm aka Mel C aka Sporty Spice, reunited at the 2015 Brit awards last night. Hanging out, taking selfies, and you know, promoting girl power because they’re just (STILL!) the best, just look at that ‘Girl Power XO’ caption-classic Spice Girls.

So, what better way to celebrate #ThrowbackThursday than in appreciation of this awesome moment that happened at the BRit Awards 18 years ago. You’re welcome.

It was one of the biggest nights on the music calender and the 2015 Brit Awards, held at London’s O2 Arena last night was an entertaining, dramatic and amazing  evening in more ways than one.

Kanye West said the ‘N-word’ and Lionel Richie and T-Swift were not impressed.

Kim Kardashin presented husband Kanye with an award, Taylor Swift danced the night away, Lewis Hamilton totally messed up handing out an award, but the most cringe-worthy moment of the evening was when Madonna, Queen of Pop, fell of stage. Yes, that’s right…she fell off stage. Literally.

Madonna went flying during the final minutes of the show at London’s O2 Arena this evening while performing ‘Living for Love’ in a giant Armani cape designed especially for the performance. On the final step, Madonna’s dancers puller her cape from behind before she had time to fully untie it and was left stunned after landing on her back and shoulders-ouch!

Nonetheless, with her ‘Living for Love’ track lyrics included ‘I’m going to carry on’ and ‘watch me stumble’ (prophetic much?)and that is exactly what the 56-year-old did

This weekend supermodel Lily Cole, 27, announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kwame Ferreira.

The Cambridge educated model announced the big news via a snap of a toy dinosaur and a Post-It which reads ‘I am having a baby!’ on Instagram with the caption below reading, ‘I am very happy to tell you…’

The soon-to-be-mom  added a link in the caption which links to a page on her website, Impossible.com, where she expressed the following on her bundle of joy-to-be:

“The first known impossible baby is being born! I met Kwame when I was in the process of developing Impossible and he offered the most profound gift, to help build the platform.”

She added: “After working together for a long time Kwame and I fell in love, and I am very happy to share our news that we are expecting our first child together…”

Congrats to the happy couple!

Jared Leto is one of the few men who can wear long ombred locks and still make us feel weak at the knees! But, alas, every good thing has to come to an end.

In preparation for his role as the Joker in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, Jared’s beautiful ombred locks had to go. Yesterday, Ayer teased the big chop on twitter, finally revealing what Leto will look like as the Joker Can’t say that we’re complaining, Leto still looks his charming good-looking self- all together now, SIGH!

Our favourite Kardashian sister is looking sexier than ever.

It’s no surprise that Khloe has been in full on #BeastMode in the gym. The 30-year-old  has made no secret of her gym schedule on her social media making all of us non-gym bunnies feel all sorts of inadequate.

In the past week the KUWTK star Instagrammed a snap of her abs and her perfectly new lightened blonde locks that could make a Victoria’s Secret Angel jealous

Khloe then posted a ‘then and now’ pic, with the caption:

“Looking back at pictures of myself I didn’t realize at the time how unhealthy my lifestyle actually was. People love to call me the fat one but as weird as it sounds I still don’t think I would consider myself fat back then. Definitely overweight and unhealthy, yes. About two years ago I decided to turn to fitness as a form of therapy and as a stress reliever. I started slow and eventually I started working out 4 to 5 days a week. We all have to start somewhere and doing something is better than nothing at all. Start small so you don’t get discouraged and give up. Remember it is all about consistency. Since her very public split from husband Lamar Odom, Khloe’s love life has been a serious of ‘are they or aren’t they dating’ with on-again-off-again boyfriend French Montana. Sources close to the reality star have also revealed that Lamar is still in the picture and Khloe is finding it difficult to cut ties. It has been since the split that she has been hitting the gym non-stop. Could Khloe be trying to make someone jealous?

In case you missed it, Jimmy Fallon sung it like nobody’s business again this week, but this time with Kelly Clarkson. The singer recently declared, “I honestly would collaborate with a lot of people, but everyone usually says no,” Clarkson told the BBC Radio 1. “I ask good people. I don’t want to sing with crap people. So, I mean, I ask people who are great vocalists, but I’m not going to point out anyone. “Sometimes I feel like I have the plague, or leprosy,” the singer added.

Talk about serious baby-mama drama minus the drama-for now! Chris Brown is a proud father to a nine-month-old baby girl

According to ‘TMZ,’ the 25-year-old singer has a nine-month-old daughter with a 31-year-old model and nursing student named Nia Amey from Texas, who Chris has allegedly “known for years.”

Although the pair are not together, sources close to the singer reveal that Chris and Nia are on good terms and that Chris is “happy” about being a father. The question on everyone’s lips seems to be whether or not girlfriend Karrueche Tran knew about Chris’ daughter and if not, what this means for their relationship. EMMA WATSON will answer the public’s questions on gender equality live on Facebook to coincide with International Women’s Day this week.

This Sunday,8 March, marks International Women’s Day, and in it’s honour Emma Watson will be holding a live Q&A on #HeForShe as well as Gender Equality in London live streamed from her Facebook page

The 24-year-old told fans: “So, March 8… It’s International Women’s Day… it’s very exciting. I hope you will also be excited because I am going to be conducting a live Q&A in London answering your questions about gender quality.

“I’m also hoping you might want to be a member of the audience. If you would like to be a then there is a form on my Facebook page, which you can fill out telling me how you are advancing gender equality.”

The Harry Potter heroine continued: “Or telling me how gender inequality has effected your life. Or you can send me a list of questions.”

Uber, the innovative app that connects riders with drivers has created a temporary vehicle option called UberASSIST, that allows all riders to request a car that will collect various donations for the brave firefighters currently battling the blazes in Cape Town.

The massive fires have spread from Boyes Drive in Muizenberg to Noordhoek, Hout Bay and Westlake due to strong winds. Over 300 firefighters have been battling the blazes in the region since Saturday and they need as much support as possible to keep them energised.

Uber is encouraging all Capetonians to donate drinks and food to these heroes and heroines in any quantities, even the smallest donation will go along way. Items that have been requested by the firefighters are bottles of water, sports energy drinks (Energade and Lucozade), non-perishable foods such as canned beans, spaghetti and sweetcorn and loaves of bread.

Uber will collect all donations and arrange to have them dropped off at the nominated fire stations and community centres across Cape Town.

How to help our firefighters by giving back!

3. Toggle over UberASSIST and request a ride like you normally would
4. A vehicle will arrive at your location within minutes, ready to collect your donations and deliver them to the firefighters

Last time we checked, the 47-year-old Baywatch star was back to rocking her long blonde extensions after she got tired of her pixie cut. Now, it seems she’s back in favour of her seriously chic au-natural locks.

This change, however, doesn’t come long after her divorce from Rick Solomon as well as her decision to quit social media. When Anderson first got the super short crop, she explained it on Ellen DeGeneres talk show: “I just thought my hair had a life, and I wanted to kind of put that behind me and start fresh.”

Coco Chanel did say that, “the woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life”. Perhaps, she had similar reasons this time around too-or could Pam be pulling a Khloe Kardashian?
