Here at Grazia, we’re more into RomComs than action movies. However, after we watched Jurassic World featuring the oh-so-yummy Chris Pratt, you could say we’ve been converted. Somewhat.

Steven Spielberg’s fourth Jurassic Park film has broken box office records, raking in R6.3 billion in its opening weekend – and for good reason. The franchise’s newest R1.8 billion-budget installment sees the island from the original movie opening up as a theme park twenty two years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993).

However, public interest in waning and tickets to visit Isla Nublar are dropping. That’s why a corporate mandate forced scientists to create a new dangerous super-beast to re-spark visitor’s interest. Not surprisingly, this backfires horribly.

Considering the film’s massive budget, you can imagine the graphics are out of this world – which they are. Thanks to the flick also being filmed in 3D, it feels like you’re right there, running for your life along with some of the ill-fated characters.

While we enjoyed seeing Chris and Bryce Dallas Howard take the lead – with their chemistry on-screen coming across as totally believable (sorry, Anna Faris) – we’d be lying if we said the plot was anywhere near as strong as the previous Jurassic Park films.

Jurassic Park was what our childhoods were made of. Super-scary dinosaurs roaming around humans, one man’s obsession to create something larger than life… It was a script that had never been brought to the big screen before. Jurassic World on the other hand, takes the same stories’ leftovers, makes the dinosaurs seem even bigger and more realistic, but lacks the meaty bits, ultimately denying the viewer of a deeper scientific plotline.

But that’s not to say it isn’t worth a watch. While the flick does take a while to kick off, the graphics truly are amazing and the story’s surprising (yet corny) ending will blow you away. If you want to score extra brownie-points with you man, make sure Jurassic World forms part of your next date night. But be warned: if he asks you if you enjoyed it and you say ‘it was lame’, we can’t be held responsible for what happens next.

Last night, friends and family of Kimye sent their birthday wishes to little tot North for her second birthday. In the new season Ruby plays ‘gender fluid’ Stella, and also identifies as gender fluid IRL. Since her debut the ‘gender fluid’ actress has gotten much attention for obvious reasons but also because she has all the straight women turning gay, because Ruby Rose effect.

In July 2014, Ruby made a video visually illustrating how freeing it is to break down socially-driven gender roles and, “what is like to have an identity that deviates from the status quo.”

In an interview with Elle mag, she expressed her want for people to feel empowered in their own identities and lives their lives in an authentic way saying, “The takeaway is that only you know who you were born to be, and you need to be that person.”

Robin Williams was a talented and multifaceted actor. He made us laugh in Mrs. Doubtfire and he made us cry and left us feeling inspired to change the world in Patch Adams. Since his death last year, some of his final projects- The Angriest Man  in Brooklyn, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and A Merry Friggin’ Christmas-are some of his last comedic movies, allowing us to remember him with hearty chuckles. But, Williams showed off his immense talents in one last drama: Boulevard.

In the movie, Williams’ character plays Nolan, an unhappy bank manager whose marriage is increasingly waning. But then, he meets Leo. Leo is the catalyst that forces Nolan to confront the one thing in his life that he has been pushing away-his sexuality.

Kim recently took to Twitter to deny the many rumours that have been swirling around her pregnancy-that she’s having twins, that she’s using a surrogate, and that her and Kanye have not yet confirmed the sex of their baby.

Last night, however, the KUWTK queen, took to her Instagram to finally confirm one of those rumours- the sex of her and Kanye’s second child. The power couple are having…a boy! Congrats!

Earlier in the month, Grazia girl , JLaw, was spotted out and about with a new man by her side. Easy on the eyes, it turns out that her new man is her new bodyguard-Greg Lenz. Oh, well done Jen, well done!

To stop the rumour mill in it’s tracks, Greg is married, so that’s a no on a hot new couple alert. Also, he’s reportedly been around since 2013-why has it taken us so long to spot this dapper lad?

Turns out, however, that getting an attractive guy to be your bodyguard is now a thing and Lady Gaga is joining the club. Lady G stepped out in NYC this week in a lovely neutral pantsuit-but this time, it wasn’t her outfit that was making us do a double take. Up close and personal, right behind the singer was her very, very dapper bodyguard.

If you’re an Orange Is The New Black fan, you’ll be very familiar with Ruby Rose from the new season; if you haven’t, well, you’ll still be very familiar with Ruby Rose – girl has been on the internet almost every day for the past week and counting. Oh yes, duh, and she’s incredibly gorgeous.

So gorgeous in fact that she’s turning straight women gay. Yip, you heard right. Everyone is in love with Ruby Rose, literally everyone.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Ruby Rose (who is the perfect combination between Angelina Jolie and a young Leo DiCaprio, but think Romeo & Juliet or Titanic young Leo) showed her appreciation of the new-found support, “It’s brilliant!  I was not expecting it, to say the least.”

Naturally, there has been disapproval  surrounding the Ruby Rose effect on women, including some of Ruby’s friends. In the interview she explains, “I have a couple of friends who don’t feel very warm towards it. They are personally offended by it, [and are] saying like, ‘You can’t just choose to be gay. You should say something about all these women who are saying [they're] turning gay.’”

Ruby’s perfect response? “My sense is definitely more light-hearted and neutral on it,” she explained. “I think people are just saying that to be complimentary. I don’t think anyone’s doing it to be derogatory or to take away from what it really means to come out and identify as a different sexuality than what people will think you are… Maybe ten years ago, people would watch someone on-screen that they would be attracted to, but they wouldn’t be able to make a funny meme and say, ‘Oh my god, I’m gay!’ because that would be so frowned upon.”

She goes on to say, “I think that the moments we try to nitpick who can and can’t say that they are gender-queer or gender-neutral or trans, or who’s gay or who’s bi — who are we to tell other people how they can live their lives and what they can tweet and what they can say?” she continued. “It’s really none of our business. I think we should let people go and say what they want to.”

Rihanna has jumped onto the marketing-your-own-music-video bandwagon, and nailed it. July 2 2015 is going to be AH-MAH-ZING! Reason? RiRi will be blessing us with her new music video for BBHMM.

Our fave bad gal RIH-minded everyone about the video by announcing its première on Saturday with an IG vid warning her followers that there will most certainly be language, nudity and violence present in the vid. (Did we expect anything less from RiRi?)

Better yet, on Sunday 28 June, Rihanna previewed the video after throwing money at a stagehand’s face. We can’t explain it, you just have to see it – it’s kinda epic:

 Caitlyn Jenner could not be having a better time being the person she was always meant to be.

The journey continues in the latest sneak peek at I Am Cait, an eight-part docu-series premiering August 2^nd on E! that chronicles Jenner’s adjustment to living publicly as a transgender woman—”the new normal” as she has so astutely called it.

“Why did I decide to do a series?” Caitlyn, shown in several never-before-seen outfits, muses in this new clip. “I am telling my story…This is about getting to be who you really are.”

“We’re going to talk about everything,” she promises. “We’re going to do a lot of fun things for the first time. We’re going to go shopping for the first time. Maybe even some boy stuff, like ride a motorcycle—because girls do that, too!”

But funny enough, this new life has included plenty of old Kardashian-Jenner family traditions as well. Caitlyn spent Father’s Day off-roading and enjoying the company of kids and grandkids, the lot of whom reportedly gifted her with new clothes and shoes to add to her (if she’s anything like her daughters) ever-expanding wardrobe.

Kris Jenner, while not on hand for any celebrating, broke her silence on Caitlyn’s historic Vanity Fair cover just this week from Cannes.

“I think it’s amazing,” she told Extra. “I think that someone following their dream is truly inspirational to a lot of people. You have to do what makes you happy.”

That does appear to be the consensus.

And while we haven’t seen her all glammed up since her VF spread, Caitlyn is scheduled to accept the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPY Awards, her first red carpet event, on July 15. Surely that will be a night to remember.

The highly anticipated Magic Mike XXL sequel hits cinema’s tomorrow which means that you should probably rush to the stores and buy a fan to take with you ‘cos we doubt you will be able to contain the heat-we know we won’t!

In the meantime, though, we’ve just discovered this epic clip from Vanity Fair of Channing Tatum showing off his moves in less than 30 seconds.

Channing busts his moves to Ginuwine’s “Pony” -a song you’ll remember from the first movie and that will be back for round two in the sequel.
