If we’re honest, we don’t think we ever really got over the Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling relationship of 2004-2007.

Since then, Ryan has moved on and had a baby with girlfriend Eva Mendez and now Rachel McAdams seems to have a new love interest, as well.

After being “friends for years” the 36-year-old actress is reportedly dating her True Detective co-star Taylor Kitsh (34). A source close to the situation says, “I don’t know if it’s full-blown love yet, but they talk constantly. They’re really into each other. She talks about him all the time!”

The couple were first spotted together early last month enjoying a romantic date out in West Hollywood.

Rachel was previously linked to her Southpaw co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal, but it seems those were just rumours.

Yesterday, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was christened at a church in Sandringham, right after Will and Kate made their first public outing with George and Charlotte as a family of four.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pushed the princess in a pram that belonged to the Queen and in which was used for two of her own children, including Charlotte’s grandpa, Prince Charles.

Ahead of the christening held at the Church of St Mary Magdalene (the same church in which Diana was christened), Will and Kate announced that they had chosen 5 godparents for Charlotte.

1. Lady Laura Fellowes – William’s cousin and niece of the late Diana (another touching tribute to honour Diana’s memory)
2. Adam Middleton – Kate’s cousin whose wedding she attended last year
3. Sophie Carter – a very close friend of Kate’s

Neither Harry nor Pippa were selected as godparents with the reason reportedly being that they have the title of ‘aunt’ and ‘uncle’ which is already important and close enough roles in Charlotte’s life.

It’s true! Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have finally tied the knot!

A source told People that one of Hollywood’s favourite fun couples finally said their “I do’s” in a private ceremony over the Fourth of July weekend.

The That ‘70s Show couple triggered rumours  in the beginning of the year when Ashton posted a cryptic pic on his Facebook page captioned: “Happy New Year’s Love The Kutchers” drawn in the sand.

In March Mila appeared on James Corden’s show, and when asked whether or not she was married, Mila coyly answered, “I don’t know. Maybe.”

The pair got engaged in February last year and welcomed their first child, daughter Wyatt, last year as well.

Ashton gushed to Ellen about Mila saying: “The most amazing thing about having a baby is my partner, Mila. She’s the greatest mom—I can’t even!”

Well, congrats you two! We wish you many, many years of happiness and love.

Perfectly timed to take our minds on a smooth ride to a warmer place in the middle of winter, the video shows two childhood friends reconnecting on a road trip to warmer Durban from a cold, gloomy city in another part of the country. The video intersperses their trip to the city with childhood memories of the 2 playing on the beach.

We found this YouTube clip that perfectly breaks the crisis down for us non-economists.

You may have seen many semicolon tattoos on the internet recently. The reason why is all because of Project Semicolon.

Project Semicolon is a non-profit organisation that encourages people to draw (or tattoo) semicolons on their bodies as a way to raise awareness for, represent and support those dealing with mental illness, depression, suicide, addiction and self-injury.

The project was started in 2013 by Amy Bleuel who wanted to honour her father, whom she lost to suicide in 2003. In an interview, Bleuel explained: “I started it to honour my father and to tell my story of my struggle with mental illness. I wanted to inspire others to tell their story. I wanted to start a conversation that can’t be stopped, a conversation about mental illness and suicide, so we can address it and lower those rates,” she said.

According to a statement on Project Semicolon’s website, “A semicolon is used when an author could’ve chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. The author is you and the sentence is your life.”

Bleuel started the conversation, and it continues today with people taking and sharing pics of their tattoos and drawings on social media with the hashtag #projectsemicolon or #semicolonproject.

It’s one of the highly anticipated moments we have been waiting  for, the first trailer for the upcoming super villain film, Suicide Squad.

How you dress and act, never mind manage to utter a word, when your boss is international superstar-flawless-at-everything-queen-of-the-world Beyoncé beats us. But, it seems that it’s quite a manageable task according to Bey’s personal assistant Sam Greenberg who shared with Vogue recently what she wears for work and what a “normal” day entails.

When Sam is backstage or on red carpets, she says she tends to stick to rompers, jeans, tank tops, and obvs, Bey’s tour merchandise. Mostly, though, her go-to wardrobe colour is black. “I think that in this job it is about looking clean and cool, and not trying to be in the spotlight because that isn’t why you’re there,” she says. “It’s also representing whom you work for.”

Even though her boss is Beyoncé (sorry, we’re still getting used to the idea of this), it seems Sam is one of us commoners at heart – when it comes to her workwear wardrobe, she prefers quality over quantity and splurging on key pieces, including designer brands (unlike us commoners). Her key pieces? Chanel espadrilles for her good-quality comfy flats and a cool Balenciaga jacket. Well, what do we expect, her boss is Beyoncé, classic style was bound to rub off on her.

Bey and her team are always travelling, and it comes without saying that Sam has picked up some practical travelling tips while still looking work-appropriate and representing the Beyoncé brand.  “It is always fun to play dress-up, because on shoots especially there are always great things,” she dished, before adding, “I think that in this job it is about looking clean and looking cool.”

“Sometimes we get off the plane and go straight to a show or to a meeting,” Sam says of her intense schedule. “I always make sure it isn’t too ‘sweatpants and sweatshirt’. I wear overalls [by Topshop], which are really comfortable on planes.” And then she’ll dress it up with the aforementioned jacket and flats combo. Greenberg dished that “it is a cool experience to learn from [Beyoncé] and curate my taste along with hers because she is quite the style icon.” You can say that again!

Sam dished  on how she travels, sharing:”I showed up my first day of the job ready to go on tour with two huge suitcases, a small wheel carry-on, a carry-on for my shoulder, and my purse. I soon learned that was not going to be an effective way to travel, and ended up cutting it down.I’m not really good at unpacking, so I kind of leave [my bag] half-empty, half-full,” she says, proving that even as Beyoncé’s right-hand woman, she’s just like any other girl.

What are your essentials for a good girls’ night in?

‘The perfect girls’ night in consists of kicking back in the company of my girlfriends, paired with good food, storytelling and loads of laughter’ – Taryn

There are some celebrity friendships that make sense: George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria, heck even Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s friendship from back in the day. Then, there are, some friendships that leave us a little amazed:

50 CENT AND MERYL STREEP

We had no idea the two had ever been in the same room together, never mind a budding friendship. So, when 50 uploaded a pic of him next to the Oscar winner at an NBA game between the New York Nicks and the Los Angeles Lakers, it seemed that this friendship was too legit to quit.

VICTORIA BECKHAM AND KATIE HOLMES

VB and Katie became close when the Beckham’s moved to America in 2007. Although they did have a big fall-out to the point where they were ignoring one-another at the same parties, Katie has since reached out to Victoria and the two are back to working on their friendship.

EMINEM AND ELTON JOHN

We would be lying if we said this celeb friendship wasn’t the most surprising one of all. Eminem has often been accused of homophobic lyrics, so it might come as a surprise to you too, that these two are actually good mates. The two performed together at the 2011 Grammy’s and have since remained friends with Slim relying on Sir Elton to help him with his sobriety attempts.

CAMERON DIAZ AND SNOOP DOG

Here’s a fun fact: Snoop and Cameron Diaz went to the same school together at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. While promoting her movie, Bad Teacher, on George Lopez’s show and when asked if she knew the rapper while at school, she casually replied, “He was a year older than me…I remember him; he was very tall and skinny. He wore lots of ponytails and I’m pretty sure I bought weed from  him.” A few months later when Snoop was on the show and asked if Cam’s admission was true, Snoop joked, “I might have sold her some of that white-girl weed.’

Another very astonishing friendship but also pretty legit. In fact, Snoop and Becks are such good buds that Snoop will even preview his songs for the soccer legend saying, “When i make my records, he’s one of the first people I send my record to before it’s done, even before the label gets it.’

Demi Lovato and Kim K West are worlds apart-one is a Disney star and the other is a reality star. Lovato has spoken about how Kim was there for her when no one else was when she was seeking treatment for emotional and physical issues. Kim has also called Demi ‘a true friend’.

BRAD PITT AND JONAH HILL

Their friendship started back in 2011 when they were filming Money Ball together. Brad even let Jonah stay in his New Orleans home while Jonah was filming This is the End.

Sigh. It seems that the battle over how Instagram will allow women’s bodies to be portrayed still continues.

The hashtag #curvy is no longer searchable on the social media site because it reportedly was used for porn and consequently violated the terms of service of the site. Naturally, people are neither happy nor impressed.

While #curvy has been banned and is no longer searchable, other words having to do with body image such as “skinny”, “fat” and “thin” or even “#thinspiration”  have not been banned and are still searchable.

This calls into question the logic behind this move as Instagram is known for removing images or suspending accounts it deems as “unacceptable content”. In case you didn’t know, Chrissy Teigan posted a topless picture with her nipple showing and Instagram removed it. Days later, Chrissy posted a picture of husband John Legend’s butt and the picture is still on her feed.

Hence, the #freethenipple movement as a response to the site’s objectification and double standards to photos featuring breasts, stretch marks or nude women in any form, even those which have been part of art work.

No steps forward and ten steps back.

Supermodel Giselle Bündchen celebrated her 35^th birthday yesterday (happy belated, G!) and she celebrated her birthday by sharing an Instagram pic of her and her – wait for it – twin sister!

The Brazilian beauty captioned the pic, “Happy birthday super Pati!!! I wish you the most amazing things in this world. Thank you for being always there for me, since the very beginning. I love you so much. #birthday #twinsister #bestfriendintheworld #love.”

Taylor Swift will be launching her own clothing line!

The Grammy Award winner has teamed up with JD.com Inc, China’s second largest e-commerce company, where her line will be sold exclusively on the website’s U.S. Mall platform (a debut channel for the site that acts like a virtual American shopping mall, promising Chinese shoppers authentic American products).

The launch of her line is planned for November to coincide with the beginning if her 1989 tour in Shanghai-smart move, Tay!

Last week, Justin Bieber showed off his new ink on Instagram – a simple “G”. We’ve noticed that other celebs, including the Bieb’s are-they-or-aren’t-they ex Selena Gomez, Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson and model Hailey Baldwin, have been spotted with the exact same tattoo.

The reason behind the G? It stands for Georgia, the daughter of pastor and Justin’s long-time friend, Chad Veach and his wife Julia. Georgia was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder called Lissencephaly, often resulting in seizures and slowed development, when she was only four months old.

The group of young A-listers got the tattoo in honour of Georgia and her parents to let them know they are always thinking and praying for them.

Isn’t little Georgia charmingly stunning?

Laverne Coz, who plays transgender Sophia Burset on the show, has a twin brother named M Lamar. He played the pre-transitioning Sophia in the episodes that tell the backstory of how Sophia landed up in Litchfield.

2. FAMOUS PEOPLE HAVE DIRECTED EPISODES

Acclaimed actress Jodie Foster directed an episode in season 1 (the episode titled Lesbian Request Denied) and season 2 of the show, and Andrew McCarthey, who starred in the 80s films St. Elmo’s Fire and Weekend At Bernie’s, has directed six episodes over the course of the three seasons.

3. INMATES FOSTERING DOGS IS A REAL THING

Remember when Big Boo had a dog, little Boo? Well, it turns out that prison inmates are actually able to participate in such programs. This has dual benefits for both the prisoner and the dog – it prevents dogs from being put down due to overcrowding in animal shelters and they’re able to get training to become guide dogs for the blind. The inmate benefits from the animal-assisted therapy as well as potentially helping the inmate find a similar job once they get out of prison.

4. THE WARDROBE IS AUTHENTIC

The ghastly orange jumpsuits your favourite stars wear are purchased from prison suppliers, as are those hilariously oversized bras and panties they wear in the episode about bed bugs. Huh, talk about characterisation!

5. BENNET IS A FORMER BODYBUILDER

Matt McGorry, who plays a security guard and baby daddy to Daya’s baby, is a former professional bodybuilder. Matt also acts on the series How To Get Away With Murder.

6. LAURA PREPON (ALEX) AUDITIONED FOR A DIFFERENT ROLE

Laura originally auditioned for the role of Piper but landed up with the more suitable role of dangerous and alluring Alex. The casting directors liked her audition so much that they tailored the role of Alex to her.

7. LORNA IS AUSTRALIAN

If you’ve ever looked at a fashion bloggers’ feed, you’ll know that it feels like you’re paging through a high-fashion editorial spread. Whether it’s a selfie, an #OOTD pic, a snap of their lip-smacking food or simply a picture of their cat, they all look better than all of your pics combined. While we know they use a professional camera (the iPhone camera is good, but it sure as heck is not THAT good with #nofilter) we’re still left pondering how on earth they do it.

Not that easily, it seems. Unlike us, a 2-second-‘Lo-Fi’ filter is not their professional go-to-option. Our favourite golden girl was recently the cover girl for W’s May issue in which she provided an inspiring accompanying interview.

The 19-year-old Oscar winner touched on the casual things like her role for her recent movie Mad Max: Fury Road but the conversation took a more profound turn when she started speaking about motherhood. Charlize is mother to three-year-old Jackson (whom she adopted back in 2012) and credits her transition to motherhood in her late 30s for really giving her ‘perspective’ on the aging process.

“I think, like many women, I was judgmental toward women as they aged,” Charlize explained in the interview. “Women, in our society, are compartmentalized so that we start to feel like we’re cut flowers and after a while we will wilt. I realize now that’s not the case — we can celebrate every age. That’s my encouragement to 20-year-olds who are terrified of getting older: Don’t have a nervous breakdown and don’t hit the Chardonnay too hard. Getting older is not that bad. Actually, I’m a complete alcoholic, but, please, don’t worry.”

She may be joking on that last part but she’s completely serious when on the advice part.

Her advice to her own 20-year-old self?

“I would say, ‘Calm down.I was always in a rush. I felt like time was going to run out. Now that I’m older, I know I’m not missing out on anything. Now, I go home, and that feels really good. When I hit 30, I realized I didn’t have to please everybody. I could actually enjoy life, which is not a bad thing at all.”

Thanks Charlize, we’re taking that advise to heart-if it’s good enough for you, it’s definitely good enough for us!
