Monday could not have started off on a better note for Leonardo DiCaprio than by winning an (overdue) Oscar for his role in The Revenant last night.

The 41-year-old actor, who has been acting since the age of 5, has been nominated – and lost – four times for: What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Aviator, Blood Diamond and The Wolf of Wall Street. But last night the dream of all of Oscar dreams finally came true!

No doubt you’ve seen Jacob Tremblay’s adorable little face making the rounds at all the awards shows so far. The 9-year-old Room actor has been posting pics looking dapper with the crème de le crème of Hollywood A-listers on Instagram.

Last night Jacob attending the 2016 Oscars alongside his parents, and although Jacob wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, he certainly walked away with an award: super hot parents.

Yup, the internet went loco for Jacobs’ genetically perfect parentals when he documented his ride to the awards show on his Instagram page with an Oscars night photo with his hot mom and dad, who are smizing at the forefront while Jake coolly poses in the backseat.

Tremblay told ET back in January that his beautiful parents are “a little bit shy”. Well, they seem to be handling the new-found attention rather well:  “It’s kinda funny, ’cause now my mom calls my dad, ‘Hot Dad,’” he said.

Do we foresee a future in the industry for his parents, too? Jacob’s talent has to come from somewhere, right?

Justin Bieber is somewhere out there celebrating his 22^nd bday, and we are here celebrating with him! For those who haven’t caught the Bieber fever yet, here are the top 10 reasons why you need to lurrv JB as much as we do:

Being part of the Kardashian-Jenner clan comes with a lot of love, expectations and criticism. For every media mention, there seems to always be hundreds, if not, thousands of hate comments from people across the globe. even though one may not think twice about it, this new art documentary centered around Kylie Jenner may shed some light onto the disturbing problem.

Kylie has been the victim of numerous nasty comments, most of which compare her to her sister Kendall Jenner. Some of the shocking comments are brought to light in a documentary by William Rebein that features a make-up tutorial contrasted with real comments people have made online. In the description of the film, Rebein explains that the tutorial is shown in reverse to symbolize how the negative comments are stripping Kylie of her self esteem, and that the film is a criticism of the anonymous hate culture on social media.

“While reading news articles about Kendall and Kylie in Australia, I was shocked and disgusted by the aggressive comments directed towards Kylie,” says Rebein, “For years, people have cruelly commented on Kylie’s appearance, always pitting her against her sisters Kendall and Kim, and suggesting that her looks are inferior. It’s unreal that people take the time out of their day to write these comments, and forget that there is a real person potentially seeing these things and internalizing them”

We imagine that being subject to such scrutiny is difficult, especially at just the tender age of 18.

Even though we know what to expect, that time of the month never ceases to be a pain. Waking up and realising why you’ve been craving chocolate for breakfast, lunch and supper, along with unusual levels of crankiness, always brings out the knee-jerk reaction of “bleeeugh” without failure. Then there’s knowing that you still need to work in this state. *insert multiple curse words*.

Dreams of calling in sick for days like that are no longer just dreams, they are a very real possibility. Yup! Coexist, a UK-based company, is officially allowing its female employees to take paid time off when cramps just become too much. An added bonus is that this “period policy” ensures that period days don’t take away from sick leave. Amazing, right? The execs of the company believe that this policy will increase happiness and essentially productivity in their female employees.

Let’s hope this is the beginning of a world-wide movement. Are we pushing it too far if we ask for period food allowance? Period days FTW!

On a list of “coolest jobs in the world”, being Leo’s personal assistant is right up there. Besides the constant eye candy (yes, Leo still has the charm after all these years!) you get to hang out with one of the most successful actors in the world right now, probably read through his scripts with him and give him love and life advice. How cool? Pretty darn cool, according to Kasi Brown, who claims the bragging rights to this title.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Kasi explains how she landed her job as Leo’s PA: Kasi is friends with a girl named Kayce Brown (coincidence?) who worked as Leo’s previous assistant in 2002 when he was filming Catch Me If You Can. So when The Aviator was being filmed in Canada, Kasi travelled to Canada and hung out with her friend and future boss, too. When filming for The Aviator moved to LA, Kayce moved on to assist another Hollywood A-Lister (Kate Hudson), which made Kasi was the obvious next choice. And the rest, as they say, is history.
“She asked me if I was interested in taking over the position,” Kasi recalled to The Huffington Post. “I thought, why not? It would give me the opportunity, as a filmmaker, to watch Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio work. I’d be an idiot to turn down a learning opportunity like that!”
So, what is like working for an Oscar winner? “He’s extremely down to earth, and he likes to share stories and life experiences with people,” said Brown. “Leo and I always had fun on set,” she added.
“Sometimes, I would pretend that he was the stereotype of an entitled celebrity and when he would ask me to do something, I would bow and in a beaten-down voice say, ‘Yes, sir, anything you like sir, anything else, sir?’ and he would laugh and tell me to knock it off,” Brown said.
Could Leo get any more perfect? According to Brown, Leo also kept in contact after filming for Aviator wrapped up, giving her advice and encouragement when it came to her trying to make it in the industry.

Queen B recently returned from a trip to the US with celebrity stylist, Law Roach in-tow. Law is best known for having styled the likes of Zendaya and Ariana Grande and is considered a celebrity in his own right. After meeting in the States, Bonang knew that Law was the man to dress her for the 15^th Metro FM Music Awards where B played host. Bonang had six outfit changes on the night, and each look was specially chosen for her by Law. Donned in international gowns created by Yousef Al Jasmi and Charbel Karam to name a few, there’s no denying that Queen B was the belle of the ball.

We chat to the star and her celebrity stylist about their first encounter and working together in the future:

Tell us more about how you met Law…

Brand Three Sixty Communications created a list of stylists for me to meet with while I was in the United States. My goal was to select someone during the trip who was the best fit for my style, and my brand. I met with Law on the second day of our trip, and it was decided then and there that he would style me for the Metro FM Awards. We met at his studio mid-day, and our fashion affair was instant! The chemistry, the connection, we just got each other…

What was it about Law that made you decide to let him style you for the MMAs?

Our instant connection made it an easy selection. Law is a creative spirit and a genuine person – and upon meeting him it was clear he was the best choice for me. Selecting a fashion stylist is intuitive and the stylist must understand you as a person, as well as your brand and your vision.

What plans do you have to work with Law in the future?

My plan is to continue working with Law, and mixing it up with local designers as I believe and know that South Africa – and Africa – has some amazing talent.

So we can assume you’ll still be working with Gert-Johan Coetzee?

Gert and I have grown together into the fashion forces we’ve become. We started working together in 2009 and will continue to create dazzling fashion moments for years to come. We are already in the process of creating a look for E! Africa at the SAFTAs on March 20. Working with Law for MMA15 was not a departure from wearing African designers, but a step in enhancing and expanding my own brand globally.

How did end up becoming a stylist to the stars?

It was evolution for me. I owned a vintage boutique in Chicago called Deliciously Vintage. We had a celebrity following. [At that time] Kanye would come in, get stuff for Amber [Rose], stylists were reaching out to me from all around the world, and it was a destination place to come to in Chicago. That was my first introduction to large groups of stylist.

I started working with Zendaya, and styling her from Chicago. The boutique was my main focus, but when her career started picking up and people started taking notice to what I was doing with her, I had to switch gears because I was now more of a stylist than a boutique owner. I didn’t set out to be a stylist, it just kind of happened naturally and out of necessity, really.

What was your first impression of Bonang when you met her?

I instantly fell in love with her and became obsessed! She’s beautiful, she’s poised and she’s with purpose.

Tell us more about styling B for the Metro Awards and the international gowns you chose to dress her in…

The style for the MetroFM Awards was Hollywood Glamour. I used several Lebanese designers. Something about their gowns is always special and we wanted this to be a very special night.

What was your favourite look of the MMA15?

A black gown by Nicolas Jerban. Bonang looked stunning! It was her final look of the night.

Our favourite royal couple, Prince William and K-Middy, took their tots Prince George (2) and Princess Charlotte (10 months) on their first ski vacay to the French Alps last week.

While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are both avid skiers, they haven’t had a chance for some much needed R&R time. But now that the kids are old enough, the royals could take them along. Everyone together now: aw!

As always, Kate and Wills defied protocol and invited a single Press Association photog along to capture some of the special moments instead of the traditional method of holding a photo call. A palace aide said: ‘The family flew out to the French Alps for a long weekend away and wanted to share some images of their trip with the public.

‘This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow. It was very special and fun short holiday for the family, and they are grateful that John Stillwell [The PA photographer] was able to capture the moment so well.’

Can we just have a moment to obsess over how big Princess Charlotte is? And how adorable does she look in her little ski outfit? Bless!

People are always going to hate – it’s a part of life, but when you’re a celebrity, people are going to hate even more. Such is the case when good ol’ Kim Kardashian decided to share another nudie on social media yesterday.

After Kim posted her “nudie”, she sat back, had some tea (she literally tweeted a GIPHY of her avatar sipping on some tea) and waited for the internet to break – again. Meanwhile, we were over here, staring at her pic and wishing she would bottle up her body confidence and sell it; we would buy it in the bucket loads.

But it would seem that while she was sipping on that tea, she was also pondering how to respond to some of the hate she was receiving. And one thing we’ve learnt is that hell hath no fury like a Kim Kardashian scorned.

The people on the receiving end of her scorn? Bette Midler, Chloë Grace Moretz and Piers Morgan, who all took to Twitter to throw shade at Kim and shame her for sharing a revealing pic.
The result?

Shots. Fired.
Lesson learnt: never throw shade at Kim, she will throw shade back tenfold.

Who can forget the “hot felon” of 2014? He might have broken the internet before Kim when his mug shot was posted to the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page.

Well, said felon, Jeremy Meeks, is now out of prison. After serving time for being in possession of a firearm (he really should’ve been arrested for stealing our hearts #canigetanamen) the 30-year-old has been signed to talent agency White Cross Management under Jum Jordan, and is ready to make his modelling debut.

“We’re putting everything in place,” Jum told BuzzFeed. “We’re in talks with a lot of different agencies. There’s movies on the table. We have a lot of different things happening.”

If you’re wondering whether Jeremy is single – wonder no more. He is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have two children.

Anyone who is a fan of Vampire Diaries is probably an automatic fan of the spin-off series The Originals. And if you’re a fan of The Originals, then you probably love the character Marcel, hence today’s crush.

Charles Michael Davis is the man behind the character who is as important to us as he is to Klaus (if you’re a fan you know what we mean…). The half African American, half Filipino is not only skilled at acting, but also has talents in furniture building and painting… and melting our hearts.

When the internet went cray-cray over their  #twinning resemblance, Hellborg said she was flattered but that she doesn’t  “strive to look like her, or anyone else,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am my own person.”
